I received a full-ride basketball scholarship to the University of Houston, all because of a YouTube video. I credit this as my first lesson in marketing.
I started my career working in the marketing department for the NBA’s Houston Rockets before following my entrepreneurial spirit and working with a handful of tech startups as a marketing contractor.
During the pandemic, I co-founded a crowdsourced website that helped people find store wait times. The platform went from ideation to launch in just five days and helped 200,000+ people. This was with a marketing budget of zero and a marketing team of just me.
In 2022, I joined the team at Discourse to lead their marketing department.
